Why Am I So Tired? – How To Get More Energy Spencer Coffman

Being tired is part of life. The challenges of your day-to-day activities, the tiresome work commute, the stress of the job, family commitments, and personal goals, are all components to a great case of burnout. It seems like with all of the technology, smartphones, beeping appliances, computers, et cetera that even on weekends you can’t seem to get any rest. There’s simply no peace and quiet. It’s always something! If it isn’t the microwave beeping or your phone alerting, it’s the seatbelt indicator in your car. No matter what, your life is geared to stress you out.

Is there a way to still have all the conveniences of your life and cut out some of the stress and hassle?

You bet there is!

If it seems like no matter what you do, you still feel tired and worn out then this article may be able to help you get more energy. Like most people, you want to accomplish as much as you can in as little time possible. You want to be efficient and productive. However, much of the time, you focus so hard on the things you are doing that it seems like you never get anything done. Yet you always feel tired, worn out, and discouraged.

You must never give up. Don’t give into all of the pressures and stressors at home and at work. Instead, take a deep breath and know that relief is on the way. Simply take the time to read this article and consider the following tips on how you can reduce stress, feel less tired, and get more energy.

Cut The Sugar

Although sugar can provide you with a short burst of energy, it should not be considered a main source of energy. Yes, your body gets most of its energy from glucose, however, sugar is not glucose. The sugar that is forced into your diet by society is all fructose. Go ahead and read the ingredients of many different foods. You will notice a lot of high fructose corn syrup and other artificial sweeteners. When you consume this garbage, your body treats the fructose as a foreign substance. It doesn’t really know what to do with it. It can’t break it down into glucose because it is already broken down. Therefore, your body converts it into fat and stores it away. As a result, people who consume a lot of sugar end up coming down with all sorts of problems. They can get diabetes, become obese, have a weak immune system, et cetera.

High-sugar, high-calorie, foods and beverages with artificial sweeteners and preservatives should be avoided if at all possible. The “sugar rush” from these products does more damage than it’s worth and can cause a crash that can make you feel even more tired than before. Therefore, consume these products in moderation or not at all.

Decaffeinate

Often times, when people are tired they immediately believe that grabbing a cup of coffee, or some other caffeinated beverage, will perk them up. Though this is true in the short run, the long run is a different story. Adding caffeine to your diet on a regular basis will end up making you more stressed and tired. The reason is because caffeine is a drug, and your body treats it as such. When you consume caffeine on a regular basis your body begins to account for that by altering its system. Essentially your body says, “well, since you’re providing me with some caffeine, I don’t have to naturally produce as much”.

Eventually you will build a tolerance and will have to consume more and more caffeine to achieve the same effect. Then, when you stop consuming caffeine, your body will be in withdrawal because it isn’t naturally producing the proper amount. Your body is waiting for you to supplement the production. Therefore, to avoid this problem, it is best to consume caffeine in moderation. That way the caffeine should always have a positive effect on you. In addition, your body won’t begin to count on that caffeine and alter its production.

Get Enough Sleep

Getting a good night’s sleep is very important. However, it is much easier said than done. There are several different ways of promoting a good night’s sleep, too many to discuss them all. However, one of the most important ways is to figure out how much sleep your body really needs. Do you operate best on six hours of sleep or do you need nine? Find this out and then do your best to get that number of hours every night.

Another great way to help promote sleep is to unwind before bed. Allow yourself a good half hour to simply sit and think. Let your mind wander and think about all of those things that normally run through your mind when you are trying to sleep. By doing this before lying down, you will put your mind at ease. That way, when you do go to bed, your mind will be ready to sleep. In addition, make your bed a conditioned stimulus for sleep. That means that you need to only be in your bed when you are going to sleep. Eventually, your body will learn that anytime you are in the bed, it is time to sleep. Before long, you will fall asleep almost immediately when getting into bed.

Purify Your Body

In today’s world there are so many toxins and other impurities in everything. The food you eat, water you drink, and air you breathe can all be full of energy zapping chemicals. This inoculation can cause a form of low-grade poisoning that can tire your body because it is always fighting off the pathogens. Therefore, there are a few things you can do to cope with these environmental toxins.

Make sure you are breathing clean air around the house. Change your air filters regularly and maybe even get an air purifier. Plants are also a great way to purify the air. In addition, make sure that you are drinking clean water and enough of it. Have your supply tested if necessary, and try to drink half your body weight in ounces each day. If you weigh 200 pounds, then you need 100 ounces of water each day.

Conclusion

Take the initiative start making some changes in your everyday life. Go ahead and start small. Instead of cutting out everything right away, start by drinking two less soft drinks a week, replace the sandwich with a wrap, lose the junk food snacks, drop one cup of coffee, or drink one more glass of water. Take your pick; the point is that you need to start. If you start small and slowly increase, then pretty soon you will be living a much healthier life. You will soon begin to notice more energy and a clearer mind than before. Go ahead; try it. I dare you.

Eat Right For A Healthy Life Spencer Coffman

eat right for a healthy life spencer coffman

Very few people give much thought to what their nutritional needs are or how important nutrition is to their overall health. They simply go about their life eating whatever looks and tastes good rather than trying to eat right. However, nutrition is one of the most important factors in being healthy. For example, most people don’t know that if the human brain doesn’t get enough protein, it won’t develop correctly, or that if a female body doesn’t get enough of certain nutritional substances, like flax oil, the metabolism will be impaired, and the body will gain weight. This is something that many females dread.

People in the media constantly hammer us on how important it is to take vitamins and eat fortified cereals. They emphasize the need to drink more milk and get enough vitamin C. Of course, that is only if the product they are promoting provides them with some sort of kickback. Unfortunately, the media has become an unreliable and biased source that advocates for things with which they are affiliated. Their information isn’t based on merit and helpfulness, but rather on who was able to market to them most effectively.

Therefore, what you really need is information about how your eating habits, and the foods you eat, contribute to proper nutrition on a daily basis. You need to learn how to provide your body with everything it needs to be healthy and fully operational. That includes getting all of the proper vitamins, minerals, and nutrients out of the food you eat. This knowledge will help you to eat right, which is something that can be very difficult to do in today’s world because the market is so overfilled with products that all claim they are good.

So what can you do, and how can you make sure that you are getting everything you need? It’s simple, all you need to do is make sure you are following a healthy diet. However, knowing what is healthy and unhealthy is easier said than done. Basically, the more convenient a food is, the less healthy it is likely to be. That doesn’t mean all convenience foods are unhealthy, it simply means that you need to begin to pay close attention to your body and how certain foods make you feel. If you learn to pay attention to this, then you will soon find out what foods you should be eating and what foods you should avoid based on how they effect your body.

In addition, you need to educate yourself about what, exactly, your nutritional needs are. You need to eat right for your own body. For example, the nutritional needs of a teenager are going to be significantly different from the nutritional needs of a senior citizen. Similarly, if you are an athlete, your nutritional needs will be different than if you are a desk worker. All of these factors need to be taken into consideration and carefully thought about. You are going to need to do some research and then use that knowledge to shape your buying, and your eating, habits.

In many cases, what humans need in terms of vitamins and minerals is much more critical than what they need in terms of calorie count. In fact, many people are not getting enough of their vitamins and minerals from food alone. Therefore, it is essential that you find a good multi vitamin and begin taking it right away. However, don’t simply take the first multi vitamin you can find. Do some research and find one that is a “good” vitamin. Believe it or not, many vitamin companies produce poor quality products. The reason they can get away with this is because nutritional supplements are not regulated by the FDA like drugs are. Therefore, put some effort into finding a good vitamin. Contact a few different naturopathic doctors and see what they suggest.

Nutrition is an extremely complex and complicated issue because there are so many variables to consider. That is why this article isn’t really specific. I cannot tell each person exactly what his or her nutritional needs are. That is something that you are going to need to find out for yourself. In addition, as your lifestyle changes, so will your nutritional needs. Basically, all I can tell you is that you need to be eating whole foods. Get rid of all the processed garbage and go straight to the source. In addition, following the food pyramid created by the mainstream media is a sure way to become obese and develop diabetes.

No matter who you are, I can guarantee that if you eat all of the food that the pyramid suggests every day then you will get fat. Therefore, forget it. You need to focus on eating protein, vegetables, and some fruits. Whole grains are good, but in moderation. Try to eat only two to four servings a day. In addition, be sure to limit your intake of starchy foods like potatoes and corn as well. If you follow these simple guidelines, in addition to adding in your own foods based on your personal nutritional needs, then you will be well on your way to becoming a healthier person, and it will be much easier for you to eat right for a healthy life.
